President-elect John Dramani Mahama has committed to forming a government that reflects the aspirations and dreams of all Ghanaians, regardless of their political affiliation.

He made this pledge during his victory speech at his campaign office, following the announcement by the Electoral Commission declaring him the winner of the 2024 general elections.

Addressing a crowd of party supporters and well-wishers, Mahama expressed deep gratitude for the trust the Ghanaian people had placed in him.

“My brothers and sisters, it is with immense humility that I accept this clear mandate you, the good people of Ghana, have given me to lead this great nation as your next president,” he stated.

Mr. Mahama emphasized that each vote cast represented the hopes and future of the entire nation.

“Every vote cast in this election carried the same weight. Every vote also carried the hopes and the future of our country,” he remarked.

Reaffirming his commitment to national unity, the president-elect vowed to build a government that would serve all citizens, including those who did not vote for him.

“I promise you that I will assemble and lead a government that will carry the weight of those hopes and dreams, whether you voted for me or not, because every victory is a victory for the people, all of the people,” Mahama asserted.

The Electoral Commission officially declared Mahama the winner with 56.55% of the vote, defeating his closest competitor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party, who garnered 41.61%.
