President John Dramani Mahama marked his 67th birthday on Saturday by spending time with children receiving treatment at two health facilities in Accra, bringing cheer and support to young patients and their families.

Accompanied by his wife and children, the President paid visits to the LEKMA Hospital and the Maamobi Polyclinic, where he presented gifts, essential items, and cash donations to children on admission and their parents.

During his visit to the LEKMA Hospital, President Mahama personally intervened to assist a young girl in need of specialized medical care, directing that she be referred to the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) for further treatment.

The President also expressed his appreciation to health workers at both facilities for their dedication and sacrifices, presenting them with monetary support in recognition of their service.

Staff members at the LEKMA Hospital and Maamobi Polyclinic described the President’s gesture as thoughtful and uplifting, noting that his decision to spend his birthday with sick children boosted morale and brought smiles to the wards.
