The leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un has stated verbally that, he agrees to meet in person with Donald Trump after months of misunderstanding between the two leaders.
In a meeting between South Korea officials and President Trump in the White House, news has gone viral that Mr Kim had stated that he is "committed to denuclearisation".
According to the South Korean President Mion Jae-in, the information comes as a miracle although President Trump has indicated that sanctions would be applied.
Mr Trump further indicated that the action was a "great progress".
The South Korean leader said,"If President Trump and Chairman Kim meet following an inter-Korean summit, complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula will be put on the right track in earnest".
Although the North has been said of to have seized the test on missile and nuclear in the past during talks, it has also been reported of them that they returned to the tests after their demands were not met.
However China has stated that the Korean peninsula was headed towards the right directions as well as calling for political courage.
In a press statement sighted by the Washington Post, North Korea's UN ambassador said the "courageous decision" of Mr Kim would help secure "peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the East Asia region".
The meeting between the two leaders is expected to take place by May although the venue has not yet been disclosed.
