The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has in a sharp rebuttal of the NDC press conference that sought to create the impression that they have flipped 36 constituencies that belonged to the NPP replied the NDC with a press conference of their own.

General Secretary of the Party John Boadu led the brief press conference which was attended by party stalwarts such as Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and campaign manager Peter Mac Manu.

According to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) they are winning the elections according to results from their strong room with the Presidential with 6,085,708, representing 52.51% from about more than 30,000 polling stations.

The party also claims that it has won seats like Daboya, Hohoe with the Energy Minsiter John Peter Amewu and others which was held by NDC Parliamentary candidates and they believe they will have a majority in parliament.

"We now control three of the five regions in northern Ghana", the NPP's General Secretary, John Boadu announced at a press conference organised by the party at 3am on Tuesday.
