Ghanaian forward Prince Amoako Junior has been named in the Danish Superliga Team of the Week after a match-winning performance for FC Nordsjaelland in their 1-0 victory over FC Midtjylland on Sunday.
The 18-year-old was the standout player of the contest, netting the decisive goal in the second half with a touch of brilliance. Amoako dazzled with quick footwork to carve out space before unleashing a precise strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
His effort not only sealed all three points for Nordsjaelland but also earned him the Man of the Match award.
Amoako played 88 minutes before being replaced by fellow Ghanaian Stephen Acquah, but by then he had already stamped his authority on the highly competitive fixture. His direct runs, link-up play, and relentless pressing were key in unsettling Midtjylland’s usually compact defence.
This latest accolade underlines a remarkable start to life in the Superliga for the Right to Dream Academy graduate. In just eight league games, Amoako has produced four goals and one assist, signaling his rapid adaptation to European football.
For many Ghanaian fans, his inclusion in the Team of the Week only confirms his status as one of the country’s most promising emerging talents abroad.
