Ghanaian forward Prince Obeng Ampem proved to be the difference-maker for Eyupspor, scoring a crucial equalizer to earn a 2-2 draw against defending Turkish Super League champions Galatasaray on Sunday.
Eyupspor started strongly with an early goal from Emre Akbaba in the 13th minute. Galatasaray responded before halftime with Baris Alper Yilmaz leveling the score at 1-1.
After the break, the champions surged ahead when Roland Sallai scored in the 47th minute following an assist from Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.
Ampem entered the match as a substitute and made an immediate impact, scoring just seven minutes after coming on to secure the equalizer for Eyupspor.
This marked the 26-year-old Ghanaian’s first goal of the season and showcased his knack for delivering in crucial moments.
