Prince Osei Owusu stole the spotlight with a blistering double as CF Montreal shocked Houston Dynamo 3-1 in their MLS Round 18 clash at Shell Energy Stadium.

The German-Ghanaian forward struck first in the 30th minute, finishing coolly after being teed up by Caden Clark on the counter. Just two minutes later, he was on target again—this time with a pinpoint header from Aleksandr Guboglo’s cross—to give Montreal a commanding early lead.

Though Owusu had the fewest touches (37) among all outfield players who played the full match, his ruthlessness in front of goal was unmatched.

Montreal extended their lead after the break when Jalen Neal powered in a header from a set-piece, making it 3-0. Houston’s Ondrej Lingr pulled one back in the 64th minute, but it proved too little, too late.

Despite dominating possession with 63% and firing 18 shots, the Dynamo were undone by Montreal’s clinical finishing. The win levels the all-time series between the two teams at nine victories each.

Owusu’s brace takes his season tally to six goals and two assists. Montreal will aim to keep the momentum going when they host FC Cincinnati on June 25.
