Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang on Wednesday led a delegation to visit the victims of the Ablekuma Elections shootings and the family of the deceased NDC Party Agent, Ibrahim Abbas.

She was accompanied by the party's deputy General Secretaty

Abbas is alleged to have been  shot on the 7th of December by an unnamed man believed to be the bodyguard of Laud Commey, the director of operations at the Jubilee House.

He was a polling agent for the party in the election.

He married barely a month ago, but his entire days on earth was brought to an end 10 days after he was admitted at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital from gunshot wounds.

Pictures showing the NDC Vice Presidential Candidate commiserating with the family of Ibrahim Abass, the young NDC activist who was shot at a collation centre in the Ablekuma Central Constituency on December 7 after he lost the battle for his life earlier today.

She and her team also visited the injured in hospital and those discharged in their homes.

"Violence must have no place in our elections," she said.

"You have our strongest assurance that we shall not rest until the perpetrators are brought to justice.

"May Allah grant the beautiful soul of Ibrahim Abass and all those killed by bloodthirsty hoodlums during the 2020 elections Jannatul Firdaus." - The good Professor proclaimed during the visit.


So far 7 death have been recorded in connection with the December 7 polls, which the Ghana's electoral commission describes as "free and fair".

The Jubilee House, the Peace Council and other CSOs have been quiet as report reveals the ruling party used terrorists to intimidate people during the polls.
