Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics (GIA), Mussa Dankwah, has dismissed claims that spiritual prophecies can determine electoral outcomes, stressing that elections are ultimately decided by the collective will of the people.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Mr Dankwah argued that democratic choice reflects the true direction of leadership.
“I don’t believe prophecies can change election results. There’s a saying that the voice of the people is the voice of God. So if the majority are speaking in a certain direction, why would God go the opposite way?” he stated.
He explained that GIA’s polling process is designed to eliminate bias, relying on random sampling from the New Patriotic Party’s official voter register.
“We don’t choose who to call. The system randomly selects delegates and we reach them through their phone numbers. On average, we speak to about 500 delegates daily and roughly 2,500 every week across all constituencies,” he said.
His comments come as Global InfoAnalytics released its final survey and predictive model ahead of the NPP presidential primary scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The poll, conducted between December 29, 2025, and January 23, 2026, projects Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the clear frontrunner with 57 per cent of delegate support.
Kennedy Agyapong is predicted to follow with 28 per cent, while Dr Bryan Acheampong is expected to secure 13 per cent.
According to GIA, the figures reflect consistent trends observed across regions and reinforce the strong momentum behind Dr Bawumia’s candidacy heading into the crucial vote.
