Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has attributed his team’s challenges during their 2-1 win against Dreams FC to lapses in maintaining their structure on the pitch.

Ogum dismissed concerns over physical stamina, emphasizing that the endurance issues were tactical rather than physical.

"I don't think we were down in terms of strength and speed; we were down in terms of endurance," he clarified. "We lost our structure somewhere along the line, and when that happens, it can appear as though we lack the endurance to continue."

The coach credited his late substitutions for restoring balance and control. "When we made the substitutions, we achieved some solidity in the middle, balance, and stability.

That allowed us to get the game going, especially in the last 15 minutes," Ogum said.

He also acknowledged that the recent derby victory over Hearts of Oak had likely taken a toll on his players.

"Playing a big game like Hearts of Oak, where they exerted so much energy, could lead to a drop in energy levels. However, I don't think it was significant," he noted.

The win against Dreams FC marked Kotoko’s third consecutive victory, following impressive results against Aduana Stars and Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors are now building momentum as they push for the Ghana Premier League title.
