Nations FC shot-stopper Rabin Ousmane Sanon has been awarded the Ghana Premier League Goalkeeper of the Month for April by the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union (NEGO) — his first time receiving the prestigious recognition.
The Burkinabé goalkeeper was in stellar form throughout April, playing a key role in Nations FC’s rise to the top of the league. Sanon recorded four clean sheets in five matches, including an impressive three consecutive shutouts against Karela United, Legon Cities, and Accra Lions. He conceded just one goal in the entire month, during a 1-1 draw with Young Apostles.
His performances were instrumental in securing 12 points out of a possible 15 for Nations FC, as the club picked up four wins and a draw to maintain strong title ambitions.
As part of the award, Sanon will receive a pair of gloves, a branded towel, a water bottle, and a T-shirt, courtesy of the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union.
This award highlights Sanon’s growing reputation in the Ghanaian top flight and his contribution to one of the league’s best defensive units this season.
