Black Stars forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer continued his impressive form, scoring an early goal in Hamburger SV's 3-1 victory over Magdeburg in the German Bundesliga II on Sunday.

The German-born Ghanaian striker opened the scoring in just the fifth minute with a powerful header from a Miro Muheim cross, giving the hosts an ideal start at the Volksparkstadion.

Hamburger SV maintained their dominance throughout the first half, with Noah Katterbach doubling the lead just before halftime.

David Selke added a third goal in stoppage time, sending the home side into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.

However, after the interval, Sebastien Schonlau's red card reduced Hamburg to ten men, allowing Magdeburg to capitalize and pull one back through Martijn Kaars from the penalty spot.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Hamburger SV held firm to secure all three points. Konigsdorffer’s goal marked his fifth of the season in nine appearances, underlining his pivotal role for the team.

The forward, who was part of Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations squad, continues to demonstrate his goal-scoring prowess in the Bundesliga 2.
