Black Stars forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer made history by netting Hamburger SV's quickest goal in over two decades as his team cruised to a 5-0 victory against Jahn Regensburg in Bundesliga 2 on Sunday.

Konigsdorffer opened the scoring just 43 seconds into the match, marking Hamburg's fastest goal since 1998 and one of the quickest in Bundesliga 2 history.

The early strike set the tone for a dominant performance by the hosts.

Hamburg quickly doubled their advantage before the 15th minute, with Robert Glatzel finding the back of the net to put them 2-0 up.

In the second half, the home side continued their relentless attack. Substitutes Jean-Luc Dompe and Davie Selke joined the scoring spree, with Dompe netting a brace, while Selke also got on the scoresheet, completing a comprehensive five-star display for the Hamburg faithful.

This was Konigsdorffer's fourth goal in five matches in the new Bundesliga 2 season, showcasing his impressive form.

The 22-year-old forward, who last featured for the Black Stars during the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, is making a strong case for a return to the national team ahead of the October qualifiers.
