Former President Jerry John Rawlings has apologized to fellow former Heads of State, John Kufuor and John Mahama, for insulting them and ostensibly calling them corrupt.

Mr. Rawlings made the insulting remarks when he met with a delegation from Mepe Traditional Area of the North Tongu Constituency last week.

Reports indicate that the Fourth Republic’s first President described John Kufuor as evil and John Mahama as a rogue.

The Former military ruler described former President Kufuor as ‘evil’ and former President Mahama as a ‘rogue’ who destroyed the country, adding that he will gladly join satan in hell should they (Mahama and Kufuor) make heaven.

Mr Rawlings made these statements when the chiefs and people of Mepe in the North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region paid a courtesy call on him to officially invite him to the final funeral rites of Mamaga Awusi Sreku II, queen of the Mepe Traditional Area.
