Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nations FC, Kennedy Boakye-Ansah has stated clearly that the club will sell top defender, Razak Simpson for the right price.
Following the recent impressive performances of the Black Stars centre-back, a development story has risen, citing the increasing interest from several clubs in Europe, particularly from Romania and Albania who have had the Nations FC captain on their radar.
Ghana’s two top clubs, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have also reportedly shown interest in the former WAFA defender but no concrete offer has been presented yet.
Boakye-Ansah, who was recently appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Abrankese club, Nations FC, confirmed interest from clubs abroad and home but insists the player will leave for the right price.
“Teams are hunting for his signature. We’ve had offers from teams in Romania, teams in Albania, on the local scene some clubs have also made enquiries so we are just waiting for the right offer," he told Citi Sports.
"We will not put in any impediments in his way; he has served the club well and when the offer is right, yes we will allow him to go.”
Simpson has been outstanding for the fast-rising Ashanti-based club, being in blistering form since joining them in 2023, which earned him his maiden Ghana Black Stars call up in November 2024.
He notched his first Black Stars goal against Trinidad and Tobago in the 2025 Unity Cup in London— a friendly tournament which was held in May, where Ghana beat the Caribbean nation 4-0 to claim the third place spot after missing out on the final when they lost 2-1 to Nigeria in the semifinal game.
