Real Madrid have officially unveiled English full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold as the 26-year old penned down a six-year deal with the Los Blancos, which will see him ply his trade with the Spanish giants until June 2031. The English full-back underwent the conventional medicals and passed and after that, was subsequently taken to the press room where he was presented to the media and the entire world as their new signing at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday, June 12 2025 in the morning.
The 26-year old was seen as a prospect to solve the long-lasting perils of Real Madrid's full-back which was overwhelmed by injuries throughout the years. The Liverpool boy who had spent over two decades at the club, left Anfield on a free transfer and was supposed to move at the end of the month but due to the upcoming Club World Cup which will commence on Saturday, June 14 2025, Real Madrid's demanded for his early release and had to pay a reported £10 Million compensation to secure a place for him in their squad for the upcoming tournament.
Upon his signing, the former Liverpool star, who is known for his traditional number 66 at the Merseyside club will have to ditch the number and find a befitting one that goes in compliance with the Spanish La Liga law which states that players are required to wear numbers between 1 and 25. In accordance to that, Trent Alexander-Arnold has opted to wear the number 12 shirt which was formerly worn by Brazilian legend, Marcelo Vieira at the Madrid outfit.
Also, the 26-year-old has undergone a kit name change to only "Trent" as he thinks it will be best to stick to just one name on his shirt as he is no more in England where his full name is being pronounced correctly by the indigenes "My kit name being only "Trent"? It's an easy explanation, when I travel to Europe, the 3-name situation is very confusing to people. People call me Arnold, Alex, Trent... I thought let's make it simple. Just Trent."
Arnold over the years at Liverpool has won nine major trophies including the UEFA Champions League title in 2019 and the Premier League titles in 2020 and 2025.

He made known to the public his delight and excitement to have joined the most successful club in Europe and in doing that, he rattled in Spanish language at his presentation. Upon doing that, he was asked how he spoke very fluent Spanish and he said "I have been learning Spanish for few months"
The 26 year old is fired up and ready to kick things off quickly at his new club.
