Reece James has signed a new long-term contract with Chelsea FC, committing his future to the club until June 2032.
The England international, who rose through Chelsea’s academy ranks, said he was delighted to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge and remain part of the club’s long-term plans.
“I am over the moon to have extended my contract, Chelsea means so much to me,” James said after the announcement. “I have always said I want my peak years to be here, and I truly believe we have everything it takes to build on our previous successes.”
James has become one of the club’s most influential players in recent seasons, known for his powerful runs from right-back, defensive strength and ability to contribute goals and assists.
The new deal underlines Chelsea’s faith in the 24-year-old defender, who is widely regarded as one of the top full-backs in the Premier League.
For Chelsea supporters, the contract extension signals stability and a continued commitment to building a team around academy-developed talents as the club looks to challenge again for major honours in England and Europe.
