The Appointments Committee of parliament will commence vetting regional ministerial nominees from Tuesday, 14 February.

Four nominees: Dr Kweku Afriyie – Western Region, Simon Osei Mensah – Ashanti Region, Eric Kwakye Darfour – Eastern Region, and Ishmael Ashitey – Greater Accra Region, are expected to be vetted on Tuesday.

On Wednesdayt, the committee will continue with Dr Archibald Lesta – Volta Region, Alhassan Suleiman – Upper West Region, and Rockson Bukari – Upper East Region, followed by Kwaku Asoma Cheremeh – Brong Ahafo, Kwamena Duncan – Central, and Salifu Sa-eed – Northern Region, all on Thursday February 16.

Last week, the committee ended the vetting of 36 ministers of states, who have since been sworn into office by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
