Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour or Prophet 1, the leader and founder of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre, has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to render an account of the National Cathedral to the state before he leaves office.
According to Opambour, the president's tenure in government will end on January 7, 2025, and the Cathedral was made on the promise of God, so accounts should be rendered and the money involved needs to be given back to the clergy to take care of it.
Opambour said he is the representative of God on Earth and is going to stand in to retrieve that money in his name.
Speaking during an interactive session of his preaching in a viral video, he stated, “Nana Addo, where is the Cathedral money? When you are leaving on January 7, leave the Cathedral money, please. You used the name of God to take the money, so leave it behind. Render accounts before you leave.
“Now you cannot become president, MP, or chief executive, so if we don’t take the money, how are we going to get it? You used God’s name to take the money, so bring the money because God is still alive.”
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo promised to build a National Cathedral to honour God.
The project has been a subject of controversy as the minority in Parliament has tagged the project as the world’s most expensive hole, with millions of cedis spent on it without any progress.
