The founder and General Overseer of the Royalhouse Chapel International, Most Rev Sam Korankye Ankrah has called on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to form a unity government with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the wake of disagreements from the opposition.

Flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama has vehemently denied the results of the December 7 General Elections as was announced by the Electoral Commission describing it as fictitious and fraudulent.

He has vowed never to accept the election results as he believes the EC has rigged the elections for the ruling NPP government.

“I want to encourage the President to consider giving some executive positions in his government to qualified officers of the NDC. We want to break the winner takes all spirit,” he said.

According to revered man of God it is the winner takes all concept the breeds contention and acrimony after elections.

“We want to see a unity government happen so that we can run this nation as one unit and develop the nation and serve God together,” he added.

The renowned preacher has also called for peace to reign supreme in the country regardless of the outcome of the election results especially between the two leading parties the NPP and NDC.

He made this known last Sunday at his church auditorium where two members of the congregation won Parliamentary seats.

“I know that usually the one who is in opposition calls the winner to congratulate him, but I am praying for the Lord to touch the heart of President Nana Akufo-Addo to call former president Mahama and say come and let us talk. I pray that this will happen this week,” he said.

The two persons who won Parliamentary seats in the church are Madam Rita Odoley Sowah for the La Dadekopoton Constituency in the Greater  Accra Region and Mr. Teddy Nana Yaw Addi, Ayensuano constituency in the Eastern Region all on the ticket of the NDC.
