It has emerged that former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection -  Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba is returning to politics soon after her sudden quit.

Madam Otiko in the weeks past rejected President Akufo-Addo's ambassadorial appointment to Italy, citing her stroke-ridden ex-husband as one of the reasons for not accepting the position.

There have been mixed reactions to her quick decision.

Whiles Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy AGyapong supports her decision to quit politics, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako known as Wontumi thinks the decision was too harsh.

But Madam Kate Gyamfuah, New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s National Women Organiser commenting on the issue said she [Kate] had spoken to her predecessor who has given strong indications that she will soon return to politics.

“I went to her to talk to her about the decision to resign, she said she wasn’t happy with the place she was posted to, that is why she decided to call it quit but I managed to convince her and she has promised me that she will return to politics soon”, Kate Gyamfuah revealed in Cape Coast.

According to her, Madam Otiko will make the comeback soon.
