Scottish Premier League side Ross County have secured the services of Ghanaian goalkeeper Jordan Amissah on a short-term contract.
The 23-year-old joins the club as cover for Ross Laidlaw, who is sidelined for at least two months with a knee injury. Amissah will compete with Jack Hamilton for the number one position at the club.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Germany, Amissah developed through the youth systems of Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund before signing with Sheffield United.
During his time with the Blades, he had loan spells at Guiseley, Spennymoor Town, and Burton Albion. He was released in the summer of 2024.
Ross County manager Don Cowie expressed his satisfaction with the signing, saying, "We are delighted to add Jordan to the group. With Ross Laidlaw out for a period of time, we felt it was really important to add another goalkeeper to our squad."
Amissah, who will wear the number 18 jersey, also boasts international experience, having been part of the Ghana U23 team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
