Belgian Challenger Pro League side RWD Molenbeek has secured the services of Canadian-born Ghanaian forward Kwasi Poku from Canadian Premier League outfit Forge FC.
The 21-year-old, of Ghanaian descent, joins the Belgian second-tier side on a three-year deal after successfully passing his medical examinations.
Poku, who developed his skills at the Toronto FC Academy, made a strong impression during his time with Forge FC, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 17 appearances during the CanPL 2024 campaign.
His performance attracted attention from Molenbeek, who, despite recently being relegated from the Belgian top tier, are eager to strengthen their squad for a swift return to the Pro League.
The move was officially announced by RWD Molenbeek through their social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), confirming the forward's addition to their roster at the Edmond Machtens Stadium.
Although Poku has represented Canada at the U20 level, his Ghanaian heritage keeps him eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage, providing him with the opportunity to make a significant impact in either national team in the future.
