There was a massive clear out of players by Kumasi Asante Kotoko before the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season started.

More than a dozen players where shipped out while about nine new players were recruited by the club.

Some of the players who were cut loose are disgruntled and intend on dragging the club before the player status committee.

The like of Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Ayiku Tetteh,Martin Antwi and Evans Owusu are keen on taking the club on as they claim they have not been paid their severance packages and also some salary arrears.

However the management of the club are keen to avoid a public fracas with their former players and are keen to resolve the matter before it escalates.

The likes of Augustine Sefah, Empem Dacosta, Mathew Andoh, Patrick Yeboah and a whole other players were sent packing from the club as they were deemed surplus to requirements by the club.
