The embattled Executive Chairman of Constructora OAS Ghana Ltd., the organization in charge of carrying out the contentious Saglemi Affordable Housing project, Andrew Clocanas, is said to have passed away, according to ABC News.

Andrew Clocanas was allegedly found dead in his bathroom beneath a shower in his Airport Residential Apartment, possibly from a heart attack.

The source added that police have visited the house to conduct interviews and that his body had been taken to the Lashibi funeral home. We are anticipating more advancements.

It should be noted that Mr. Clocanas was still facing charges related to the Saglemi Affordable Housing Project, along with Collins Dauda, a former minister of works and housing, Dr. Kwaku Agyeman-Mensah, a former minister of water resources, works, and housing, Alhaji Ziblim Yakubu, a former chief director of the ministry, and Nouvi Tettey Angelo, the CEO and owner of Ridge Management Solutions Ghana Limited.

The group is accused of intentionally causing financial loss to the state in relation to the $200 million approved for the Saglemi project, which is the basis for a total of 70 charges against them. All of the accused have entered a not guilty plea and have been given bail.
