Jordanian leader His majesty King Abdullah II has accepted Said Sinare as Ghana's new ambassador to The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Ambassador Sinare, who is also the Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Countries, had his credentials received by the ruler in Amman.

Upon arrival at the Basman Palace for the ceremony, the King reviewed the guard of honour as a  military band played the national anthems of Jordan and Ghana.

A visibly excited King Abdullah II commended Ghana for its ties with Jordan. They discussed the growing terrorism in Jordan and what measures could be put in place to curb the menace.

Issues of future trade agreements yet to be signed were also discussed by the two.

The Ambassador also expressed the felicitations of President Mahama and the people of Ghana to their counterparts in Jordan and indicated Ghana’s readiness to deepen the already existing relationship.

He also praised the King of Jordan for the vision he has for his country and the developmental projects being carried out in his country as well.

Alhaji Saide Sinare mentioned the need for the King to invite President John Mahama on an official visit. King Abdullah II promised to do so after the election.

The ceremony was attended by the Royal Court chief and the deputy prime minister and minister of foreign and expatriate affairs.
