Few weeks after unveiling his seventh studio album, Samini's 'Untamed' has started receiving global acknowledgement. 

The 22-track reggae album which was released on December 22, 2018, debuted at the 8th position of Billboard’s top 10 Reggae albums and songs beating albums such as “Reggae Gold 2018: 25th Anniversary” by Various artists and Ziggy Marley’s “ Rebellion Rises” album.

Today, the album which is barely a two weeks old has been nominated by International Reggae online platform, RaggaeVille.com for the Best Album category.

Talking about the inspiration behind the ‘Untamed’ album unveiled at the Multichoice Office in Accra, Samini said his new album tells the struggle he is been through over the years yet never gave up on his dreams.

Hit songs including My Own, Obimbra and Obaa, have been included in the album.

The 'My Own' hitmaker who is admired for his flair with live band performance revealed the secret behind the “untamed” album.

“The story behind the album has to do with all I have been through straight from my first album to the sixth, through the ups and downs, the rivalry and the hard seasons”, he revealed

“I see myself as untamable,”.

He added the album proved to be untamable in its first week.

The 37 year old who has been actively doing music since 1999 has won several INternational Awards in the past including MOBO (Best African Act), Channel O Music Video Awards, The Headies, MTV Africa Music Awards, among others.
