The 23-year-old joins from Swedish side Brage on a contract with an option for extension. Known for his physicality and speed, Gayi is anticipated to make an immediate impact at the club.

The team announced the signing with enthusiasm, highlighting Gayi's attributes: "Eirik Asante Gayi (23) is ready for the Light Blues! The physical and fast midfielder, originally an Odd product, comes from playing in Brage in Superettan in Sweden.

Now he signs a permanent deal for the year with an option for extension. He's ready to fight and fight for us. Welcome Eirik!"
