Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has shockingly fingered Egbert Faibille. Jnr as one of his key accomplices in destroying a $1.9m gold scam case before the courts nine years ago.

Faibille. Jnr, a current minister, was named by Anas in a documentary called 'Who Watches the Watchman' revealing that the lawyer was among those who helped to compromise the case.

Anas in the documentary alleged that Faibille. Jnr, who was then his lawyer, received payment in 2009 on behalf of the investigative journalist to kill the $1.9m gold scamming case.

The documentary called 'Who Watches the Watchman' was premiered on Wednesday revealing alleged corrupt practices of investigative journalist taking bribes to compromise investigations.

In the secretly recorded video revealed by MP Kennedy Agyapong in the documentary, investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas is allegedly heard extorting money from a businessman.

Anas was heard mentioning the name of Egbert Faibille, "the thick, tall lawyer" as being at a bank to track some transaction.

"As for the money they will block it. Egbert is already at the bank. Egbert Faibille The thick tall lawyer," Anas was heard saying in the documentary revealed on Wednesday night.

The vociferous Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyapong, Wednesday night showed his exposé video, dubbed: Who watches the watchman, at the forecourt of Ken City Media at Madina in Accra.

The video, he said was his own version of secret recordings of how the investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, operates undercover.
