Muslim youth across the country have been told to be peaceful in their endeavours because Islam was founded on peace.
The Gomoa East constituency women’s organiser, Hajia Faila Adams, in a statement on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, indicated that it was important for the youth to maintain peace in order to reflect the nature of Prophet Mohammed.
Her statement said: “The NPP women’s organiser for Gomoa East constituency in the Central Region, Hajia Haila Adams, has charged Muslim youth in Ghana to be peace seekers during and after this year’s Sallah celebration.
“Islam stands for peace because the founder of Islam, Holy Prophet Mohammed, is a peace seeker and all followers must follow his footsteps.”
Meanwhile President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to address the country on the occasion of the Ed ul-Fitr celebrations.
