Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has called for patience from fans as Guinean striker Morifing Donzo continues to search for his scoring touch in the Ghana Premier League.

Donzo, who joined the Porcupine Warriors, deemed as a replacement for Albert Amoah—now with Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi—has yet to find the net in five league appearances under head coach Karim Zito. His slow start has sparked concern among supporters, who are questioning the forward’s impact.

Despite the pressure, Seth Kwadwo remains optimistic about Donzo’s potential. Speaking after scoring his debut goal in Kotoko’s 4-2 win over Karela United in Week 8, Kwadwo emphasized the importance of patience and support.

“Morifing Donzo is a good footballer. He’s facing a language barrier, but we’ve spoken to him and he’s gradually understanding the players,” Kwadwo told reporters.
“I’m pleading with the fans to be patient with him. In the next few days, we shall see Morifing Donzo at the top.”

Kotoko currently sit on 11 points from five matches, with three games in hand. The two-time African champions will travel south to face arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in a highly anticipated Week 9 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
