The Ghana Police Service has arrested seven persons for their involvement in the violent clashes that occurred between two rival gangs at Nima a suburb of Accra on Tuesday 18th January,2022.

According to Acting Director-General of the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Kwesi Ofori, two of the seven are on admission under security guard.

 Five of those arrested are currently in police custody while two others are at the hospital under Police guard.

 Two youth groups clashed at a spot called Nima Gutter exchanging gun fire.

A viral video posted on social media sees angry youth some wielding cutlasses, clubs, cudgels  whiles others were holding guns.

They were seen attacking each other as residents run helter skelter as these gangsters attacked each other with cutlasses and guns.

It took the timely intervention of the Ghana Police Service to quell any further violence in Nima as these gangsters went on rampage.

The Police have caused the arrest of seven persons and are still on the man hunt for two persons who are believed to be the ring leaders of these rivals groups.
