Ashantigold skipper and Black Stars striker Shafiu Mumuni joined colleague professionals in the Black Stars camp to cast their votes in the Fifpro Caf 11 best awards.

Shafiu whose dazzling form at the Wafu nations cup earned him a call up to the main senior national team is pictures alongside other team mates with a plaque of recognition for voting.

Players of the senior national team, the Black Stars joined fellow footballers on the continent to vote for Africa's Best XI of 2019.

The vote is open to national-team members from 54 African countries.

Players from Cameroon, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa and Togo are among other national-team members to have already voted.

Players have been picking their team of the year in the last few days while with their national teams for African Cup of Nation qualifiers.

Following the popular Fifa-FIFPro World XI voted for by professional footballers around the globe, Caf now has its own version since 2018.

Caf and FIFPro Africa Division entered into a five-year partnership last year in Egypt, to organise the Caf-FIFPro Africa Best XI.

The partnership will also see both parties cooperating in the training programs and education of African youth taking part in Caf competitions.

Ghana's Thomas Partey featured prominently in the Fifpro Africa best XI's maiden edition last year.
