Ghanaian dancehall singer, Shatta Wale and popular YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon are back in the headlines following a fresh online altercation, this time sparked by what many expected to be a goodwill gesture.

The latest conflict erupted after Shatta Wale offered to help Sheldon after the latter was displaced by floodwaters following the heavy flood that submerged houses in some suburbs of Accra on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

The singer made the offer to Sheldon despite their rocky past.

But instead of easing tensions, the gesture reignited old wounds. Sheldon bluntly rejected the offer, citing previous issues and accusing Shatta Wale of hypocrisy.

He referenced a public plea made by Shatta Wale’s mother, Elsie, who had once alleged abandonment, questioning the sincerity of the musician’s sudden generosity.

"We were all here when your own mother came out crying that she had nowhere to sleep, but now you want to help who? GTFOH!” Sheldon fired on social media.

He also recalled a 2024 incident in the UK, where he claimed to have attempted reconciliation with Shatta Wale by extending a handshake, only to be publicly ignored and was later mocked by many online.

“You all laughed when I tried to squash things with him in the UK and he ignored me. Now you want me to accept help from him just because he’s playing Father Christmas? Since when did help become by force?” Sheldon added.

Doubling down, Sheldon insisted he is self-reliant and under no obligation to accept help from someone who once rejected his peace offering.

“We’re not kids here, and no one feeds anyone. I reached out, you ignored me. Now you reach out, I say GTFOH. Everyone go to bed. Siasem,” he wrote.

After the online back-and-forth, Shatta Wale eventually withdrew his offer.
