Self-acclaimed dancehall king of Ghana, Shatta Wale, has presented an amount of $1,000 to the morning show team of Hitz FM.

This is contained in a video shared on social media by the Hitz FM team.

According to the presenter of the morning show, Andy Dosty, Shatta Wale had promised the team that he would send them the money as a gift.

Andy Dosty, however, did not say exactly what led Shatta Wale to make that pledge, but he was full of praise for the ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker for honouring his promise.

Shatta Wale has touted himself as the richest musician in Ghana.

Apart from his many controversies, he is also known to be very benevolent.

Shatta Wale appears to be the only Ghanaian musician on record to have bought cars for his protégés including Captan, and Pope Skinny, of the Shatta Militants group.

He has also on many occasions, given out money freely to his Shatta Movement (SM) fans, and also his friend, Emmanuel Tagoe.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has been trending in the week of October 10, 2018, following a ‘diss’ song released by Sarkodie to attack him.

In the song, Sarkodie called Shatta Wale names, and said he is “fool” for constantly attacking others and boasting when he had nothing.

But Shatta Wale responded to Sarkodie’s ‘diss’ song with a video of him displaying his Lexus V8 to prove to him that he could indeed buy luxurious cars.

In a related development, Shatta Michy has also added his voice to the Sarkodie-Shatta Wale brouhaha, calling for peace and “oneness” between the two heavyweight musicians.

Shatta Wale’s ‘Reign’ album launch would be launched today, October 13, 2018.
