Controversial Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has caused massive stirs on Social Media after he took to micro-blogging site, Twitter to advocate against the abuse of drugs by some Ghanaian youths.
Shatta Wale, last Tuesday stated that he was angry by the abuse of the drug, accusing fellow artistes of urging their fans to indulge in the use of tramadol while further advising them to desist from the act.
The 'Freedom' hitmaker claimed the “ghetto youth community” does not belong to the government but him.
But the post engendered reactions from followers some of whom thought the call in itself was to shed light on the drug.
While some believe his call was a good cause, heaping praise on him for the call to stop the abuse of Tramadol, others lashed out at him, claiming he led the youth to abuse the drug, calling him ‘king of Tramadol.’
Tramadol abuse is said to have hit record high in Ghana with some opinion leaders calling for the arrest of users.
