Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has announced that it is kickstarting its 'Shot on iPhone' challenge. The company has asked the iPhone users worldwide to send in their best shots for the competition.
Interested iPhone users can send in their submissions, which will be reviewed by a panel of judges and 10 winning photos will be chosen. These photos will then be featured on Apple Newsroom, Apple’s Instagram channels, apple.com, in Apple retail stores, Apple WeChat, Apple Twitter accounts, Apple Weibo accounts and billboards around the world, said the company in a statement.
Participants can submit their photos from 12:01 a.m. PST on January 22 til 11:59 p.m. PST on February 7. Winners will be notified on or about February 26, 2019. How to participate in the Shot on iPhone Challenge? Participants have been asked to post their 'best photo taken on iPhone' to Instagram or Twitter with the #ShotOniPhone hashtag to participate in the the Shot on iPhone Challenge. For people in China, iPhone users will have to post on Weibo using #ShotOniPhone#.
Apple has asked users to specify in the which iPhone model was used image caption.
Alternatively, participants can submit the photo in its highest resolution to [email protected] with the file format ‘firstname_lastname_iphonemodel.’ Terms and conditions for Shot on iPhone Challenge 1) Participants must be 18 years of age or older

2) Apple employees or their immediate families cannot participate

3) Photos can be edited through Apple’s editing tools in the Photos app or with third-party software.

"You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by submitting your photo, you grant Apple a royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive license for one year to use," said the company.
