Singida Black Stars FC has finalized the signing of Ibrahim Imoro, a talented Ghanaian left-back, on a permanent deal. Imoro completed his move to the Tanzanian club after arriving in Eastern Africa recently, joining on a free transfer.
The 24-year-old defender had been without a club since terminating his contract with Sudanese giants Al Hilal SC in July last year due to the conflict in the country.
Imoro's stint with Al Hilal included 10 appearances in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League season, where his performances garnered significant attention from other clubs.
Prior to the turmoil, Imoro had been a standout player in the Sudanese Premier League during the 2022-23 campaign, showcasing top-tier performances that included notable contributions like scoring one of the season's standout goals.
Imoro made his debut for the Ghana national team in March 2021 during an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe, highlighting his potential and talent on the international stage.
Recently named to Singida Black Stars' roster, Imoro was among the substitutes in their recent 1-0 loss to APR FC in the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
His arrival marks the club's second signing from Ghana this season, following midfielder Emmanuel Keyekeh, as they strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
