Austrian 2.Liga team SKU Amstetten has officially signed Ghanaian striker Charles-Jesaja Herrmann from SV Waldhof Mannheim.
The 24-year-old Herrmann, who previously starred in VfL Wolfsburg's U17 squad, joins Amstetten with hopes of bolstering their attack for the upcoming season.
Standing at 1.90 meters, he brings a significant physical presence to the team.
Amstetten announced the signing, stating, "Charles-Jesaja Herrmann from SV Waldhof Mannheim to SKU Ertl Glas Amstetten.
He will strengthen our attack, having played 21 games in the 3rd division last season, scoring three goals."
Herrmann’s football career began at Hannover 96 and progressed through VfL Wolfsburg's youth system.
He has earned 26 caps for Germany’s junior national teams (U15 - U19) and previously played for KV Kortrijk in Belgium, NAC Breda in the Netherlands, and SV Waldhof Mannheim in Germany.
The striker is the son of former Ghana international Charles Kwablan Akonnor and remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
SKU Amstetten welcomed Herrmann with enthusiasm, expressing confidence in his potential impact and success with the club.
