Ghana U-20 midfielder Joseph Aidoo has sealed a three-year transfer from Romanian outfit Sănătatea Cluj to Slovakian top-tier side MŠK Žilina.
The 20-year-old central midfielder was a member of the 26-man Black Satellites squad that represented Ghana at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. While Ghana exited the tournament at the quarter-final stage, Aidoo left his mark with a brilliant long-range assist that set up Joseph Amankwah Opoku’s crucial goal to help Ghana advance from the group phase. Primarily deployed as a box-to-box midfielder, Aidoo is known for his ball carrying, dribbling, stamina, agility, and wide passing range—traits that have made him a standout in youth competitions.
At Žilina, he is expected to feature for both the first team and developmental sides, as the club continues its tradition of nurturing young talent for European football and for Joseph, he joins a fast rising number of Ghanaian emerging prospects honing their talents in developmental environments in Europe.
