Former Premier League Champions  Wa All Stars have pulled out of the Special Competition set to kick starts next weekend, according to report.

It comes just 24 hours to the launch of the competition that will mark the  resumption of domestic football activities for Male Premier and Division One football clubs in the country.

It is not known what could have triggered their action but the Wa-based side are yet to assemble their players since the Anas exposé which led to the global ban of former Ghana FA boss and owner Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The 2016 Premier League champions thus join Medeama, who are unwilling to participate in the three-month competition due to disagreement over placement

An official communication will be sent to the FA on Monday, according to GHANAsoccernet.com report.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee’s special competition will be officially launched on Monday March 25, 6pm at the forecourt of the GFA Secretariat.

The competition will mark an official resumption of domestic football activities for Male Premier and Division One football clubs in the country, the NC has said in a statement.
