Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has heaped praise on Mohammed Kudus following the Ghanaian’s electrifying performance in Spurs’ 2–2 comeback draw against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday in the Premier League.
Trailing 2–0 after early goals from Yankuba Minteh and Yasin Ayari, Spurs clawed their way back thanks to Kudus’ relentless energy and attacking brilliance. The 25-year-old assisted Richarlison’s goal just before halftime and forced a late own goal from Jan Paul van Hecke to secure a valuable point at the Amex Stadium.
Frank was effusive in his praise:
“He Just Dominated the Right-Hand Side”
“His work ethic has been really good. It’s big for me—how hard he works in the counter-press, high pressure, the defensive side of it. But his hold-up play, when it goes into him, it just sticks. You can’t get it off him.
“His one-on-one ability is crazy. He’s so strong, so explosive. He just dominated the right-hand side.” He added.
Kudus completed six dribbles, won eight ground duels, and delivered 13 passes in the final third—a performance that had fans and pundits alike singing his praises.
Since joining Spurs from West Ham United, Kudus has quickly become a key figure in Frank’s setup. Though still awaiting his first goal for the club, he’s already contributed three goal involvements in five Premier League matches.
His ability to stretch defenses, hold possession under pressure, and deliver decisive final balls has made him one of Tottenham’s most dangerous assets.
