The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has lashed out at former President John Mahama; describing him as an abrasive  and dangerous man after taking lessons from Stan Dogbe on how to keep “unfriendly” reporters away from his circle.

His harsh critique comes on the back of a recent attack on a reporter by a member of the security detail of ex-President John Mahama.

Joy News reporter, Parker Wilson, was allegedly slapped by the security detail of ex-president John Mahama.

The assault left the journalist visibly bruised with part of his face swollen and his right eye teary with pain.

Spokesperson of the John Mahama 2020 Campaign Team, Mr. James Agyenim Boateng, later issued a statement to apologize and inform the public that the officer in-charge of their security has been informed about the incident; adding that the  matter is duly being investigated.

However their statement has been rubbished by Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako who is mostly referred to as Chairman Wontumi.

According to him, the abrasive personal style of former president Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has won them few friends over the years and there was an urgent need for them to “repent”.
