Chief of Adako Jachie Nana Osei Bosompem III has urged the playing staff of Kumasi Asante Kotoko to concentrate on their playing careers, improve their performances and desist from boozing, chasing girls and late night outings.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony of the refurbished training pitch, the chief , an ardent supporter of the club told players to improve their performances as fans who throng the Baba Yara Stadium often sit on tenterhooks during matches.

"What am telling the players is that performances have dropped when you visit the stadium you must improve. We now sit on thorns whenever we are watching you play."

"That is not the Kotoko I know. The old Kotoko were very good but not this time this is Otumfour's Kotoko. We don't support Kotoko with fear never but that is the other now so performances must improve." he said

The chief pleaded with club sponsors MTN who constructed the facility at a cost of GH₵524,000 not to relent on their good work but to help complete the abandoned club house project which will house all the players of the club.

"I will plead with MTN to help us complete the abandoned club house project so we can accommodate all the players here and provide proper security so that the late night outings, boozing and chasing after girls can be well monitored.

I hope MTN well help make this wish come through.I am here on behalf of his royal majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II and am also a life long Kotoko supporter" he added

The pitch comes with a 10-seater technical sitting bench, a perimeter fencing and a 40,000-litre storage water facility to keep the pitch fresh and green.
