General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, dared the chairman of the Audit Service Board, Professor Edward Duah Agyeman to carry out his threat to sue him.

Mr Nketia at a press conference on Tuesday, 2 October 2018 attacked the character of Professor Agyeman questioning his involvement in what he described as fake audit that is aimed at discrediting the image of former government appointees under the Mahama administration.

Mr Nketia also alleged that Prof Agyeman's track record of fraud makes him undeserving of his current post.

Prof Agyeman has threatened to sue the NDC General Secretary but Mr Nketia in an interview with Valentina Ofori Afriyie on 505 on ClassFM said he is ready to face him in court over the matter.

Mr Nketia said: “He [Prof Agyeman] is such a person that allows himself to be used, when there are no skeletons in the cupboard he manufactures some and puts them there based on which he would tarnish the hard-won image of persons, so, this press conference is not the first time I’m dealing with him.

“I took him to court in 2002 to prevent President Kufuor from making him Auditor General, they made sure the case never ended and he was there illegally for about six years before NDC won power and he went home.

“So, that is the type of person we are talking about…”

Asked what he would do if Prof Agyeman drags him to court for defamation, Mr Nketia said: “Let him go to court I’ll thank God and meet him there…”
