Former Black Stars midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari has reportedly laid into players of Asante Kotoko for their disappointing display against Legon Cities on Friday night.

The porcupine warriors won by a solitary goal scored by Osman Ibrahim in the 11th minute but struggled all night as the away side Legon Cities pressed for the equalizer in the second half.

But for the wastefulness of Legon Cities striker Raphael Ocloo, it would have been a different results for Kotoko.

Sulley Muntari was in the stands at the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the game and according to Light FM, has slammed the Kotoko players for their poor display.

He was reportedly in the Kotoko dressing room after the match to talk to the Kotoko players where according to Light FM, he branded their display as 'rubbish' and encouraged them to improve.

He further told the players that their coach Maxwell Konadu is a capable coach as he has worked with at the senior national team the Black Stars so they should work harder and honor him.
