Evangelist Nana Agradaa has hit back defiantly at gospel singer Empress Gifty, following the latter’s GH₵20 million defamation lawsuit filed against her.
In a fiery video shared online, Agradaa, who refers to herself as the “Woman Trump,” dismissed the lawsuit as baseless and vowed not to be intimidated.
She maintained that no legal action could bring her down, stating, “Go to court 100 or even 200 times, I don’t care. Every idiot can go to court.”
Empress Gifty’s lawsuit accuses Agradaa of making defamatory comments during a live broadcast, including allegations of promiscuity, infidelity, and inappropriate conduct with pastors.
The gospel artist claims the remarks are entirely false and have severely damaged her reputation, causing emotional distress and public ridicule. She is seeking GH₵20 million in damages.
In response, Agradaa argued that her statements were retaliatory and not unprovoked.
She alleged that Gifty’s husband, politician Hopeson Adorye, incited public hatred against her during a television appearance.
According to Agradaa, it is hypocritical for Gifty to seek legal redress when, in her view, the provocation began with Adorye.
“Go to court 100 or even 200 times, I don’t care. Every idiot can go to court. I’m dealing with classy people, so I don’t have time for banter. Your husband went on TV inciting people to attack and kill me, he left you at home to insult me, someone else’s wife. I’m not scared of your lawsuit,” she said.
