Ghana international Tariq Lamptey expressed his frustration after Brighton & Hove Albion squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Lamptey, who played the full 90 minutes, had opened the scoring for Brighton in the 37th minute with a stunning left-footed strike into the top corner after cutting inside from the wing.

His goal had given the Seagulls a crucial advantage, which was later doubled by Yankuba Minteh’s fine solo effort.

However, Leicester fought back, with Jamie Vardy scoring in the dying minutes before setting up Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s equaliser to level the score at 2-2.

Following the match, Lamptey took to Instagram to express his disappointment: “Tough one to take, but we will keep working hard to improve and be ready. Thanks for the support as always, hope everyone got back safe,” he wrote.

Despite the draw, Lamptey's performance and his stunning goal were standout moments, but Brighton will likely be frustrated by their inability to hold onto the lead.
