Instant messaging platform WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will help its users connect to businesses easily. As per a report by WABetainfo, a website that keeps track of WhatsApp updates, this feature has been spotted but it is not yet available as it is under development. As per the screenshot shared by WABetainfo, the 'Find businesses' option will appear under the 'new' chat window where 'New group' and 'New contact' options are listed. No further information is known about how it will work. "We expect next beta updates to reveal more details about this feature," said the report.

Recently, WhatsApp rolled out UI-based changes to its app including a redesign of the Settings Menu as well as new icons. It also revealed that this new layout will be available in the next Google Play stable release having build number 2.19.47.

To recall, the app update (v2.19.45) does not include any new features but offers a cleaner look. WhatsApp has removed the lines that separated different options in the Settings menu. Besides that, it has also added the sections below each option. Under the Account option, it has also added icons for all the sections -- Privacy, Security, Two-step verification, Change number, Request account info and Delete my account -- which were earlier not there. Even the 'Security', ‘Change number' and ‘Two-step verification' screens have redesigned icons. The tools in the ‘Help' section also have also dedicated icons now.

Under the 'Data and storage usage' option, WhatsApp now offers an exact breakup of data sent, received and storage used under the main headers itself. Further, under the network usage option, list of bytes has been replaced with six types of data -- calls, media, Google Drive backups, messages, statuses, and roaming.
