Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has expressed his delight with Mohammed Kudus’ impressive start to life at the club following a sparkling Premier League debut against Burnley.
The Ghanaian international produced two sublime assists as Spurs cruised to a commanding 3-0 victory over the newly promoted side on the opening weekend.
Ahead of Tottenham’s daunting trip to face Manchester City, Frank singled out Kudus as one of the players who could make the difference in attack.
“We just played the first game and scored three goals, so I think that was pretty promising. I know it’s a long season and we need enough players and players with different abilities. Kudus has that spark and creativity,” Frank told reporters.
He also praised the flexibility and variety within his forward line, highlighting the qualities of new recruit Mathys Tel, attackers Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, and winger Brennan Johnson.
Kudus will return to familiar territory against Pep Guardiola’s men, having faced City four times during his time at West Ham, including scoring a stunning bicycle kick on the final day of the 2023/24 season.
